These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Cortex AI Ltd ("we", "us", "our") and you ("User") in connection with your use of cortexacademy.ai and our AI education services. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Introduction

Cortex AI Ltd provides access to an online AI and machine learning education platform ("Platform") that includes live mentor sessions, cloud GPU labs, interactive notebooks and an AI model-review assistant (collectively, "Services").

2. Account registration

• You must be at least 16 years old to register. Users under 18 require parental consent;
• You must provide accurate and complete information at registration;
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password;
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account;
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

3. Fees and payment

• Free trial lesson — available once to all registered users, no card required;
• Paid subscriptions — prices are listed on our pricing page and are inclusive of applicable taxes;
• GPU lab hours included in each plan are subject to fair-use limits described on our pricing page;
• We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay and PayPal;
• All prices are in US Dollars ($) unless stated otherwise;
• We will notify you at least 14 days before any price change.

4. Refund policy

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you are entitled to a full refund if:

• Your refund request is submitted within 14 days of purchase; and
• You have completed no more than 20% of the purchased track.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 working days. To request a refund, contact [email protected].

5. Intellectual property

All course materials, videos, starter notebooks, software and content on the Platform are the intellectual property of Cortex AI Ltd or our licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials solely for your own learning. Models and code you produce as part of project exercises are yours to keep and use in your own portfolio. You may not copy, redistribute or use our course content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

6. User obligations

• Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws;
• Treat mentors and other users with respect;
• Not post unlawful, offensive or misleading content;
• Not attempt to hack, scrape or interfere with the Platform or shared GPU infrastructure;
• Not use GPU lab compute for cryptocurrency mining or any purpose unrelated to coursework;
• Not submit plagiarised work for review or certification;
• Pay subscription fees on time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses, including lost profits or loss of data. We do not guarantee employment outcomes; published completion and placement statistics reflect historical cohorts and are not a promise of individual results. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may terminate your account with immediate effect for a material breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease and any outstanding fees become immediately payable.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. For consumer disputes, you may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform provided by the European Commission.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 7 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
